Matrimony: Make first appointment six months in advance with Fr. Pedro and provide certificates of baptism recently issued with marginal notations.

Funeral Services: Only the Funeral Home may schedule.

ST. MARTIN ANNOUNCEMENTS 

The Ladies Altar Society will meet Thursday, July 28 at 6:30 P.M. at the home of Donna Wade, 189 Whaley Road, Forest Hill.  We will have a Luau party, so please bring a finger food and join us for an evening of fun and fellowship.  Invite a friend or new church member.  For directions, please contact Donna at 229-5320 

Finance Council, Pastoral Council and Commission Chairs will meet Tuesday, July 26 at 6:30 in St. Martin Hall.

Adult Sacrament Preparation-All of this year’s adult participants have completed their preparation for sacraments.  Congratulations to the following for receiving, for the first time, the listed sacraments.  Eric Irby-Confirmation; Danielle Schrock-Eucharist and Confirmation; Cassandra Strange-Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation;  Kenneth Strange-Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation; Hannah Winegeart-Confirmation.  Please take a moment to congratulate these parishioners and make them feel welcome in our Church Family.  Also special thanks to Ginny Baker, Joseph Baker and Mary Dunn who helped in the preparation of these individuals. A new class will begin this fall. ATTENTION ANYONE WHO WORKS WITH CHILDREN  Virtus Training at St. Joseph Catholic Center    August 9 at 1:00 P.M. Employees or volunteers who have not yet taken the VIRTUS safe environment awareness training, must attend a VIRTUS session.  To register, go to www.virtus.com. 

ATTENTION !!!! The diocese needs the e-mail addresses of all volunteers who work with children in any way.  This is so that they can send you a user ID and a password so that you can access the bulletins that you are required to read.  St. Martin Office would really appreciate you furnishing the information as we get emails daily from the diocese.  You may call the office from 8-5 Tues.-Thurs. or place them in the collection basket.  Thank you.

Line Dancing for a Healthy Heart will be on Mondays from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. in the new hall.  There will be no line dancing during the month of July. 

If you would like to register in the parish, please pick up a form in the foyer.

If you would like to have your child baptized, please fill out a form and turn it in to the church office. Forms are on the table in the foyer.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Pisgah Baptist Church in Forest Hill presents MegaForce Ministries July 24 at 11AM and 7PM.

Food for Seniors/Families is distributed on the third Thursday of the month, 7:30 – 9:30 AM in the old Lecompte High School. 

United Christian Women  meet on the second Tuesday of every month.

The Town of Lecompte is sponsoring a back to School Bash on August 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM  We will be giving away school supplies to the area children at the Old Lecompte School.  We were hoping we could count on you to help us again this year by contributing to the cause.  Any donation can be mailed to the Town of Lecompte at PO Box 649, Lecompte, La 71346.

Taste of Faith Dinner Thursday, August 11 from 5-7 pm at the St. Rita Church Holy Family Center.  There is no cost to attend, but all donations will go to the Seminarian Education Fund for the Diocese of Alexandria.
