Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Alexandria is hosting a Catholic’s Divorce Survival Support Group beginning Wednesday, April 5 from 6:15 to 7:30 P.M. in the Madonna Room (on Elliott Street between the church and the gymnasium) for 12 weeks. There is no such thing as “Catholic divorce,” but unfortunately Catholics do civilly divorce and this group is for support and healing through Christ and one another. Beth Goleman Ponthier, who has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Dana Boudreaux will facilitate. Light refreshments will be served and childcare is available. A $20 registration fee will cover program materials. The group will follow the “Catholic’s Divorce Survival Guide” curriculum by Catholic publisher Ascension Press, including videos and group discussion. Registration is open to adults of all faiths. Contact Renee Aldridge at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 445-9748, ext. 216.
