The USCCB will sponsor National Vocations Awareness Week Nov. 5-11 to promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations. Parish and school communities across the nation are encouraged to include, during the first week in November, prayer and special activities that focus on vocation awareness. Research suggests that community encouragement plays an important role in the discernment process. For more information about vocations, contact Father Louis Sklar, director of Vocations, at 318-445-6424, ext. 260.
