The first thing to do is find an RCIA program with meetings you can attend, hopefully at the parish you will be a part of.  RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and it is simply a class where the teachings of the Catholic Church are explained and discussed.  It is an ancient tradition that new members are brought into the Church at Easter, and so these classes flow toward that goal.  During this time, one is getting to know the Church, not unlike a time of engagement before marriage.  If someone has never been baptized, this also will happen at Easter, unless they have already been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Whether someone is baptized or not, the Church walks with them on their faith journey to bring meaning to Catholic prayer, liturgy, the Mass, Eucharist, Confession, and much more.
