As an Ignatian Trained Spiritual Director, I am dedicated to guiding individuals on their unique journey of spiritual growth and self-discovery.  Using an approach to spiritual direction that is grounded in the contemplative practices and discernment techniques that are central to the Ignatian tradition, such as prayer, discernment of spirits, and finding God in all things, I offer a supportive and prayerful space to explore your relationship with Jesus and deepen your spiritual awareness of his movements in your life.   I tailor my direction to meet the unique needs of each directee by offering a high level of compassion, empathy, non-judgement, and deep listening.  This allows me to create a safe and sacred space where individuals can explore their relationship with Jesus, uncover their inner truths, and discern the whispers of their souls.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and spiritual formation with regular supervision, participating in continuing education programs, and immersing myself in my own spiritual practices and prayer to deepen my spiritual journey and enhance my ability to serve others.  It is a profound privilege for me to walk alongside individuals as they deepen their relationship with God and grow in spiritual freedom and authenticity.  God has deeply blessed me with this ministry, and I am grateful for the opportunity to accompany others on the sacred journey of spiritual transformation and discovery.

I am a wife, mother of three, and “Granny” to five.   I am also a business owner with 34 years of expertise in business and technology. I strive to lead and inspire everyone I work with through mentoring and coaching to achieve their dreams.  I stand on my values of integrity, accountability, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.   My experience in leadership and mentoring seems to naturally support me in spiritual direction.   In addition to my leadership role in business, I serve in several volunteer positions in my church and in our diocese.

My story is one of conversion.  After divorce and many years away from my Catholic faith, I had a profound encounter with God.  From this, God led me to an ACTS retreat where I experienced a life altering conversion.   Subsequently, I have devoted much time to the study of theology, prayer, and spiritual direction.  My devotion to the sacraments is the foundation of my faith.  I lead a prayer group for women focusing on study and depth of prayer.   I am involved in the ACTS movement, having teamed many times as well as directed 2 retreats.     I am a founding member of Genesis of Eve, a ministry designed to help women encounter Jesus, empower them to serve and evangelize.

I have a passion for all things God and for what he is calling me to do.  If you are interested in speaking to me about spiritual direction, I can be reached via email at cwasmer@diocesealex.org.   First appointments are preferred to be in person.  Virtual appointments can be accommodated.

Training:  Archdiocesan Spirituality Center of New Orleans, August 2023 with certification for individual ongoing direction, 3, 5 or 8 day retreats as well as 19th Annotation retreat in real life.
